The Amatruda family had been producing paper since the 13th century. On their oldest watermark "Amatrulo" you can see three Angeline lilies. This tends to show that the Amatruda family has already produced paper during the domination of the Angevins in the "Kingdom of the Two Sicilys" (1282-1442).
The paper produced at Amatruda is produced according to an old artisanal tradition and each sheet is made one by one. The sides are not cut to keep the natural look on the edges.
