The classic par excellence
fountain pen with a 24-karat gold plate, high-quality resin and an opening to visualize the ink level. The feathers of the M1000 Souverän fountain pens are made of 18-carat/750 gold.
All feathers are refined with a rhodied décor and their writing qualities are hand-tested. The pens are equipped with a piston filling system made with high quality materials.
In 1929 Pelikan was the first company in the world to introduce a new piston mechanism. This pen is now available in several models and, although the design and some technical details have evolved since then, the basics of the mechanism remain unchanged.
Only a few years after the launch of the first Souverän model, the black model was introduced, in 1985. The main difference between this pen and its predecessors is that the body is not scratched. The body is entirely black in high quality resin. The end of the ink tank is enhanced by a transparent green hue, its gold plating give this pen an individual character and the nostalgic aura of a classic pen.
