The classic par excellence
fountain pen with a 24-karat gold plate, high-quality resin and an opening to visualize the ink level. The Nibs of the M800 fountain pens are made of 18 carat/750 gold.
All Nibs are refined with a rhodied décor and their writing qualities are hand-tested. The pens are equipped with a piston filling system made with high quality materials.
In 1929 Pelikan was the first company in the world to introduce a new piston mechanism. This pen is now available in several models and, although the design and some technical details have evolved since then, the basics of the mechanism remain unchanged.
In 1950, the 400 model of the pen was launched. Composed of a striped green body, it quickly became a global symbol of the brand Pelikan. In the eighties the series was named Surveron, although the German people had already given it the nickname Stresemann, the name of the secretary of state of the "Weimarer Republik" known for its striped costumes.
The production of the body requires a lot of work. In accordance with a particular manufacturing technique to Pelikan, the cotton used goes through many steps until it obtains a thin striped sheet. It is then shaped, sanded and cut with a diamond in the exact shape of the pen. The attributes of the double ring at the back of the body and on the hood are then integrated into the pen with the utmost precision to achieve a virtually even transition between materials. The writing instrument is then polished to achieve extreme brilliance before the tether, with the famous pelican and slightly flexible, is mounted.
If you like classical instruments, you have a Suveren pen.
