BAMBOO

Bamboo is a strong and flexible plant that can thrive in any environment. For these reasons, it represents mental flexibility and fluidity of thought.

SHIZEN

Shizen means nature in Japanese. Learning about other cultures can open up new horizons and allow us to see our own world in a new light. We have let ourselves be guided by oriental philosophies in which the relationship between man and nature is based on the perfect balance and the highest expression of vital harmony. This unconventional collection took inspiration from the centuries-old fascination with the Orient. The fountain pen is reminiscent of a bamboo stalk.

MATERIALS

Celluloid is a refined material that has been used to create writing instruments since the beginning of the 20th century. It is pleasing to the touch and has a comfortable grip. Asia is available in 3 colours: blue, green and red. The pen alternates 5 stacked coloured celluloid sections and 5 solid black ones.

SHAPE

The shape of the Asia collection follows the elegant and pleasing lines of the evergreen and vigorous bamboo. To emphasise its slender shape, the pen’s body and cap are exactly the same dimension. The 8 metal rings that decorate the pen are made of silver Ag925.

CLOSING MECHANISM AND CLIP

The pen closes with an elegant twist on mechanism. The arched Visconti clip is embellished with black enamel that ties in with the black celluloid sections, common to all three colours.

Visconti

Visconti’s history began in Florence, Italy. A cradle of art and culture, Florence also known for being home to one of the Country’s largest industrial districts for luxury and fashion.

The company is the brainchild of Luigi Poli and Dante del Vecchio, two friends who met in Florence and decided to turn a common passion into business by founding Visconti on October 20, 1988.

On that date, luxury writing instruments began to make their way in a city that was strongly linked to jewellery, leather goods and any other form of art. Over time, Visconti products became iconic pieces that helped to spread Italian values worldwide: design and creativity, craftsmanship and innovation, quality and luxury.
