THE SHAPE
A torpedo isn’t only a self-propelled underwater projectile, but also a famous car model from the first part of the 20th century. We have chosen to use Bolidismo concepts to interpret the two meanings of the word.
DYNAMISM AND FLUIDITY
The pen’s ogival shape lends dynamism and fluidity to the design. This writing instrument uses two elements of our high-end collections: the skeleton and demonstrator techniques. The carbon fiber of the barrel and cap perfectly integrates with the galvanised brass structure and the resin reservoir.
MATERIALS
The carbon is treated with a catalysed impregnating agent which protects the surface without adding any thickness to the pen since it is completely absorbed by the fiber. The internal part of the barrel is made in transparent resin while the external part is in carbon. The "skeleton" structure is in in perforated metal. All the brass parts are produced with CNC machines and then hand polished, engraved and perforated. The metal parts can be plated in two colours: pink gold and ultra black ruthenium.
THE SKELETON TECHNIQUE
The skeleton technique characterises some of our most prestigious pens. This method makes it possible to forge a structure (or skeleton) around the barrel and cap of the writing instrument, giving it an elegant and luminous three-dimensional effect.
CLIP AND PACKAGING
The arched clip is embellished with a refined mother of pearl coloured lacquer.
The Torpedo presentation box is made of a blue metal plate that echoes the brass structure of the pen.

Visconti’s history began in Florence, Italy. A cradle of art and culture, Florence also known for being home to one of the Country’s largest industrial districts for luxury and fashion.
The company is the brainchild of Luigi Poli and Dante del Vecchio, two friends who met in Florence and decided to turn a common passion into business by founding Visconti on October 20, 1988.
On that date, luxury writing instruments began to make their way in a city that was strongly linked to jewellery, leather goods and any other form of art. Over time, Visconti products became iconic pieces that helped to spread Italian values worldwide: design and creativity, craftsmanship and innovation, quality and luxury.
