The chiseled diamond-cut Sailor Ebonite Sculpture Yakoh Night Light fountain pen with multiple layers of circles that changes appearance depending on the angle, expressing the diffuse light and the glowing backlight on a night road.
The Sailor Ebonite Sculpture series features three different models carved out of natural ebonite hard rubber and then specially treated through blasting, diamond-cut chiseling, or engraving to achieve a unique and distinctive surface for each model. These clipless pens also feature a discreet roll stopper engraved with the Sailor logo on the ring top near the finial.
The Ebonite Sculpture series pens fill using Sailor's versatile cartridge-converter system. The pens can accept any bottled fountain pen ink when fitted with the provided converter.
The specially designed presentation box includes a 20 ml bottle of Sailor Studio Ink that matches to each model. Also included: cleaning cloth, instruction manual, and warranty card, along with a starter pack of two Sailor ink cartridges and a gold-plated converter.

In 1911 Mr. Sakata and his brother founded the “Sakata-Manufactory” to produce solid gold nibs.
In 1917 the factory relocated to the next town Hamadacho and the Company changed the name to “Sailor Pen Sakata-Manufactory Co., Ltd.” The Company started manufacturing fountain pens here in volumes.
The Company reached a turning point on 27th May 1926 when Imperial Prince Hirohito (Prince Regent, later Emperor Showa) visited the factory to encourage the industry. This was a great honour for a small company with 300 employees established only 15 years previously.
Taking this opportunity, The SAILOR Pen Company aquired significant credibility and notoriety nationwide.
