Kaweco Kaweco is a German brand of writing implements, originally introduced by the Heidelberg Pen Company for its dip pens line in 1889. Kaweco became a public limited company in 1921, then being taken over by the Knust Woringen and Grube company (KWG), after Kaweco went bankrupt in 1930.
In 1994, the Gutberlet GmbH, a cosmetics company based in Nuremberg, acquired the rights to the "Kaweco" name. The core competency is the production and distribution of fine writing instruments including accessories.

Our designs stem from another era when tradition and craftsmanship were still synonymous and some clocks seemed to go a little slower. We took the fascination Kaweco pens had back in the days and translated these values to today’s refined and increasingly demanding times.

The manufacturing process and quality control still lay in our very own, skilled hands, right here in Nuremberg. A city rich with tradition and appreciation for writing instruments, renowned well beyond its infamous walls. Local tradition and technology from afar meet in every single one of our products: Like the premium mechanics from PRECO/Iwasaki Japan for example.
