The intense brown of Carob ink is covered with fire-coloured reflections to give sparkle to the various writings. Carob is cultivated in many countries, including Cyprus, where it was once referred to as "black gold" because, according to legend, it has its therapeutic virtues that allowed people to consume to live to a very advanced age.
